Colin the Horse Meets Mayor

A very familiar face popped up once again in the Chichester Observer this week. Yes of course the mayor of Chichester, John Hughes but I am talking about our local hero Colin the War Horse. Colin and his runners (friends of Jago) Karen Shrimpton, Penny Patten, Sharon Ellis and Debbie Bell met with the Mayor and his wife Cherry, whilst the team make preparations to carry the full sized fibreglass horse in the London Marathon next month.

With 2014 marking 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War and 75 years since the Second World War; funds raised by Colin and team from the 26.2 mile race will be donated to the Poppy Appeal.

We are over the moon to see that Colin the War Horse Mk3, which we manufactured and donated last year for the Great South Run, is still going strong and raising money for all of these fantastic causes. To date, throughout his three incarnations, since 2006 Colin the horse and his various different runners (including our Managing Director) has raised in the region of £38,000 for a number of different charities, that’s definitely neigh bad!!!!
